Tusmo Consulting

About the project

Tusmo were contracted by the World Bank to carry out a series of community-level consultations to support the female health program in Somalia. These consultations, which took place in Puntland and Galmudug, aimed to inform the development of a sustainability model for the female worker program so that it can reduce its reliance on donor funding. Consultations included a series of focus group discussions with female health workers, affected communities (urban, rural, nomad, IDP), and community organizations. Additionally, a series of workshops were held with government officials at the federal and state levels. Findings from the consultations were used to weigh different options to female health workers including the sale of goods. The study was extended to include the development of an M&E Framework to measure the performance of a future sustainability program.
